Ola Aina made one of the hardest sidefoot finish– Crystal Palace legend salutes Super Eagles star

Ola Aina played a significant role during Nottingham Forest English Premier League fixture against Aston Villa

Crystal Palace icon, Clinton Morrison, has praised Super Eagles fullback, Ola Aina, for his standout performance in Nottingham’s match against Aston Villa, Soccernet.ng reports.

The City Ground was the stage for Steve Cooper’s team as they took on the Villains, delivering an impressive performance that thrilled home fans with a 2-0 victory.

Aina, the previous Player of the Month for Nottingham Forest, took the spotlight by opening the scoring for the Reds.

Aina received a pass, executed a swift sidefoot finish, and neatly placed the ball into the bottom left corner of the net.

Former Republic of Ireland striker, Morrison, lauded Aina’s effort, describing it as one of the most challenging sidefoot finishes he has ever witnessed.

“It’s a sidefoot and it has got to be one of the hardest sidefoot finishes I’ve seen, but he guides it into the bottom corner. It is a fantastic finish,” Morrison commented on BBC Sports Radio 5 live while covering the game.

Fans have high expectations for the Nigerian star, who is anticipated to provide a significant boost to Jose Peseiro’s Super Eagles squad in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe. Aina will look to continue his impressive performances at the national level.
