Nigerian Terem Moffi has been included in Super Eagles squad to tackle Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers
Super Eagles forward, Terem Moffi, has addressed the clash with Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe during their Ligue 1 tie, Soccernet.ng reports.
In the match, both players scored two goals each, but Moffi’s celebration after making it 3-1 for the visitors angered Mbappe, leading to a confrontation.
The Nigerian forward’s exuberant celebration, which included removing his shirt and hoisting it in front of the Paris fans, led to a confrontation with the French star, resulting in Moffi receiving a yellow card.
In an interview with Soccernet.ng’s managing editor, Lolade Adewuyi, Moffi acknowledged the past event, recognizing that emotions can run high in such competitive games.
“Yeah, obviously, I had a good game. Whatever happened is now in the past. I would not like to speak about it, but yeah, you know in games like this, sometimes you lose your temper; shit happens,” Moffi said.
