Leicester City boss reveals Wilfred Ndidi’s status ahead of Watford clash

Ndidi has been out of action for the last five weeks, but he may return to the pitch soon

Leicester City coach Enzo Maresca has revealed that Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is fully fit ahead of their game against Watford at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Ndidi has been outstanding for Leicester City this season under new coach Enzo Maresca. The 21-year-old midfielder has registered one goal and three assists in 12 appearances for the Foxes.

He has been a crucial part of Maresca’s team as they push for promotion to the Premier League.

Unfortunately, he sustained an injury in the last week of October after Leicester City’s game against Swansea City.

The injury ruled him out of Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe during the last international break. However, Ndidi shared a video of himself doing personalized training earlier this week.

In the latest development, ahead of Leicester City’s Championship fixture against Watford, coach Maresca has revealed that Ndidi is fully fit and ready to play again.

“They are all working with us [apart from] Callum,” Maresca said per Leicester City’s official site. “The rest are all available for tomorrow.”

The Foxes currently sit at the summit of the Championship with 39 points. They are closely followed by Ipswich town, who also have 39 points.

They have lost their last two games, but they would look to return to winning ways in front of their fans at the King Power.
