Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi, has sent a condolence message to treble-winning Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, after losing his wife, Soccernet.ng reports.

Moffi has scored three goals in seven league outings for OGC Nice this season, helping the team to fourth position in the league, with his team just behind league leaders Monaco with a point.

Off the pitch, the player has shown his human side, sharing his condolences for the demise of Lady Cathy Ferguson, the wife of former Manchester United Manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Cathy’s death was confirmed on Friday after the family released an official statement yesterday afternoon.

“We are deeply saddened to confirm the passing of Lady Cathy Ferguson, survived by her husband, three sons, two sisters, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family asks for privacy at this time,” the statement read in quotes revealed by Sky.

Moffi, 24, took to his X(formerly called Twitter) page to post his heartfelt condolences for the wife of the 13-time Premier League champion.

The world of football, in general, have sent their heartfelt condolences to the retired Scottish manager, with his former clubs, Manchester United and Aberdeen being the top of the bunch.

In Ferguson’s time on the sidelines at Old Trafford, the club experienced tremendous success, winning two UEFA Champions League titles, and thirteen Premier League titles, and the club never finished outside of the top three in the League in twenty-six years when he was a coach.
