Exciting young Nigerian forward, Flourish Sabastine, has officially completed her move to French D1 Arkema side, Stade de Reims, Soccernet.ng reports.
The club announced her arrival on Friday via their X (Formerly Twitter) platform that the Nigerian will now don the colours of the French club with the jersey number 22.
Sabastine, just 18 years old, made the transition from Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Bayelsa Queens, where she had an impressive track record.
After successfully undergoing medical examinations, she signed a two-year contract facilitated by C2E Sports Management, an agency led by former Nigeria U20 star Dejo Olateru.
During her time with Bayelsa Queens FC, Sabastine achieved remarkable success, winning three titles in just two years. Now, she’s set to bolster Stade de Reims’ attacking lineup.
Sabastine’s signing comes hot on the heels of the club’s formalization of the acquisition of Cameroonian star Colette Ndzana.
The addition of Sabastine, known for her offensive prowess, speed, and exceptional dribbling skills she displayed at the U20 World Cup will help strengthen Reims’ squad for the upcoming season.
Speaking about her move, Sabastine expressed her desire for personal development and her commitment to contributing to the team’s success.
“Individually, this choice to come to Reims is part of a logic of development for me. I want to continue to improve in technical, physical, and tactical aspects.” she said.
She added: “Collectively I want to make my contribution, contribute to the team results,”
At Stade de Reims, Sabastine will reunite with her Falconets teammates, Tosin Demehin and Rofiat Imuran, both of whom joined the club last season.
