Injury blow sidelines Nottingham Forest’s full-back from International friendlies

Super Eagles full-back, Ola Aina, was voted by Nottingham fans as the player of the month for September after a series of good performances.

Nottingham Forest’s full-back, Ola Aina, will be unavailable for the Super Eagle’s games during the International break, after getting sidelined by an injury, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 27-year-old will unfortunately miss the upcoming Super Eagles’ friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique after picking up an injury, with his return date yet to be known.

Forest boss, Steve Cooper, recently confirmed Aina’s absence from the team’s training ahead of their Saturday clash against Crystal Palace.

The club’s September player of the month award winner is out due to a muscle injury and will be pulled out of Peseiro’s plans ahead of the games against Saudi Arabia’s Green Falcons in Portimão, Portugal, on Friday, October 13th.

43-year-old Cooper revealed Aina will be out at least till the end of the International break.

“Danilo is a bit more long-term, it’s still going to be a little while until he’s back with the group, he’s out on the grass but very much in the middle of his rehab. I don’t think we’ll see Nuno until after the international break, and on Ola we will see,” the gaffer told the club’s official website.

The Super Eagles are also scheduled to lock horns with The Mambas of Mozambique in the same city just three days after the game against Saudi Arabia. All players in the squad list are expected to convene at their training camp in Faro, Portugal, starting on Tuesday, October 10th.

In the meantime, Forest will be without Aina as they face Crystal Palace this weekend.
