“Do it if it’s easy” – Super Eagles’ Francis Uzoho hits back at his critics after Mozambique game

Super Eagles defeated ten-men Mozambique in Portugal yesterday evening, but Francis Uzoho remained top of the headlines after another error.

Jose Peseiro’s first choice goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho has responded to his critics after he came under fire due to an error in Nigeria’s win over Mozambique, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Super Eagles scored three goals, defeating Mozambique 3-2, thanks to goals from Terem Moffi, Frank Onyeka and a well-struck penalty from Moses Simon.

The game marked Nigeria’s first International friendly win for the first time in five years, after remaining winless in their last fifteen friendly outings, and Coach Peseiro felt relieved to have had the jinx broken.

However the manager’s worries has grown in leaps as fans are growing increasingly frustrated at his choice to keep Francis Uzoho as first choice and not even evaluate other goalkeepers.

With memories of a good game of the Omonia S.C. goalkeeper in a Nigerian jersey growing very faint in the memories of football fans, the goalkeeper committed two blunders in the last two games that led to an angry outburst of emotions from fans.

The cathartic outpoor has riled the goalkeeper up to put out his own response. Hours after the win against Mozambique, the 24-year-old goalkeeper took to his Snapchat story to put out his response to his critics, posting a picture of himself, and captioned it; “Do it if it’s easy.”

Teammates like Adebayo Adeleye, Moses Simon and Kelechi Iheanacho have come out to show support for the goalkeeper as well, and are hopeful they can see a rejuvenation of Uzoho’s performance against United in the Europa League last October in a Super Eagle’s jersey.

  • That's his job if not competent he should quit. We all get criticised in our professional and even private lives. As long as its civilised and rude.

  • It not a matter of "Do it if it easy" it is uzoho job to be at his at all times.the national team is not a learning avenue for mediocrity.
Up your game if you want to be thegoalkeeper of the national team.

  • uzoho is a quack goalkeeper. let him quit football. he supposed to apologize rather he still have his big mouth to give excuses

  • can u imagine what this old idiot is saying.. that is ur job Mr man.. how many years u have been training with that oyibo people with everything possible to develop you to be a better goalkeeper but no instead of improving u are dwindling every single time u stand in between those sticks with Nigeria jersey.. grow up mr man.. that is ur fuckin job..

  • Aha , this is astonishing, imagine this boy, after misbehaving in goal, turning a simple cross into his own net is now bold enough to spew nonsense, ahh Nigeria has suffered, imagine the heartache this boy has caused millions of Nigerians? the world cup disaster against Ghana is still fresh in my memory
when did playing in Cyprus become good enough to earn call up to Nigerian national team? This Peseiro is going is going to cost Nigeria dearly
With Nigerians giving birth to children in all corners of the world producing stars for top footballing nations of the world,we can not find one outstanding goalkeeper?
The NFF should be ashamed and people should be dealt with in that organization
