Super Eagles star, Kelechi Iheanacho, recently teamed up with teammate Ricardo Pereira to commentate on a memorable match between Leicester City and Everton, Soccerner.ng reports.

The game in question took place during the 2018-2019 English Premier League season in October 2018 and ended in a 2-1 loss for Leicester City, despite Pereira securing his debut goal of that season.

Fast forward five years, and both Iheanacho and Pereira find themselves playing in the Championship, the second tier of the Premier League, with their team currently holding the second spot in the standings.

In a video clip, Iheanacho showcased his newfound commentary skills, channeling popular commentator Peter Drury as he provided commentary on the match against Everton.

During the game, Everton took an early lead with a goal from Richardlison. However, the Portuguese defender levelled the score with an impressive run into Everton’s box.

A clearance from the Foxes’ defense by Ghanaian player Daniel Amartey found Iheanacho, who delivered a beautiful through pass to Pereira. Pereira made a run into the box and fired an equalizer past Jordan Pickford.

Despite their efforts, Leicester City ultimately lost the match 2-1, with Gylfi Sigurdsson scoring a sublime strike from 25 yards out, curling it into the top corner to secure the away team’s lead.

In the 2018-2019 season, Leicester City finished with 16 losses and 15 victories, placing them in the 8th position in the Premier League standings that year.
