NPFL champions congratulate goalkeeper on Super Eagles call-up

Nine-time NPFL champions, Enyimba have congratulated their skipper and goalkeeper on his Super Eagles call up

Recently crowned NPFL Champions, Enyimba F.C. have congratulated their first-choice goalkeeper, Olorunleke Ojo, on getting yet another Super Eagles call-up, Soccernet.ng reports.

Two-time CAF Champions League winners and Nigeria’s only representative in the debut African Football League, Enyimba F.C., have congratulated their goalkeeper and captain, Olorunleke Ojo, following his invitation to the Super Eagles camp for the AFCON qualifier game against São Tomé and Príncipe.

The match will take place on Sunday, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom. The club took to their official X(formerly called Twitter) page to congratulate their leader at the back after the squad list was released by Super Eagles coach, Jose Luis Peseiro.

The twenty-eight-year-old was part of the Super Eagles players in the squad that faced Sierra Leone in June, a match Nigeria won 3-2.

The next AFCON competition will be played in the Ivory Coast, from January to February next year, and the Super Eagles need a single win from the game against São Tomé and Príncipe to remain top of the group, as they’re currently top of the group with twelve points from five games.

Ojo is vastly experienced in the NPFL, having played for Sunshine Stars, Aba Warriors, and Akwa United. The squad list for the three-time AFCON winners also welcomes new faces like Gift Orban and Victor Boniface.
