Nottingham Forest star Awoniyi surprises hometown journalist with car for his birthday

Taiwo Awoniyi has been known for his generosity in giving back to the community he hailed from in Kwara state, Nigeria

Taiwo Awoniyi has once again shown his generous attitude after surprising a veteran journalist, Bayour Issah, who resides in his hometown of Ilorin, Kwara state, Nigeria with a car as a gift for his birthday, Soccernet.ng reports.

This is just another selfless attitude from the Super Eagles striker, who has been loved by his community for his charity organization and donations.

A few months ago, the Nottingham Forest star raised the hopes of some less privileged children when he donated books and money to a school in his hometown.

His latest help in making sure he gives back to his community is by gifting a car to a veteran journalist named Bayour Issah, who resides in his hometown of Ilorin for his 58th birthday celebration.

The former Union Berlin striker has started the season in impressive form, scoring 3 goals from Nottingham Forest’s 4 Premier League games this season.

He was also on target in Nigeria’s 6-0 win over Sao Tome and Principe in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier last Sunday.

His 10 league goals last campaign contributed hugely to Nottingham Forest’s Premier League status.

Awoniyi will aim to continue his impressive start to the season when Forest hosts Burnley at the City Ground on Saturday.
