EPL: Manchester United axe Jadon Sancho from first-team training following feud with Ten Hag

Following his omission from the matchday squad, Jadon Sancho faces even more punishment as United axe him from the first-team training.

Manchester United winger, Jadon Sancho is set to continue his football training away from the United’s first-team, following his feud with Erik Ten Hag, Soccernet.ng reports.

Jadon Sancho, 23, was left out of United’s squad list away at the Emirates, as they lost 3-1 to Arsenal in the Sunday special, as United struggled attacking-wise, and fans questioned Ten Haag’s decision to leave the winger out of the matchday squad, considering he wasn’t injured.

Ten Hag clarified that Sancho failed to meet his standards on the training pitch, and as such, he wasn’t fit enough to be in the squad.

Jadon on the other hand, immediately went on social media to express how he felt following the coach’s comments, highlighting that he’s been used as a scapegoat and that he’ll always remain professional.

Manchester United issued a statement on their official website to say Sancho will remain on a personal training away from the first-team group pending resolution of a squad discipline issue. This leaves Manchester United short of attacking options on the flanks.

Alejandro Garnacho, Facundo Pellistri, and Marcus Rashford will be the go-to options on the wings for United as they take on Brighton on Saturday, and there is no set time frame for his return.

According to Teamtalk, Borussia Dortmund will be interested in re-igniting the wingers’ form in January, should United look to allow Sancho to leave.

Sancho scored 38 goals and set up another 45 in 104 Bundesliga games and a move to Dortmund wouldn’t be far-fetched.
