The Super Eagles-eligible just made his Laliga debut this season, and he wants to have a good campaign
Super Eagles-eligible striker Samuel Omorodion has stated that his target is to score 10-15 goals for Alaves in the Laliga this season, Soccernet reports.
Omorodion made his Laliga debut three weeks ago when Granada locked horns with Atletico Madrid in their league opener. The 19-year-old attacker scored for his side, but it was not enough as they fell to a 3-1 defeat.
After his brilliant performance, Atletico Madrid snapped up the youngster, paying €6million for a five-year deal.
Shortly after he signed for the Rojiblancos, they sent him on a season-long loan deal to fellow Laliga side Alaves to get some experience.
The Spanish-born striker was unveiled at Alaves on Tuesday, and he has revealed his targets for the season.
“There will be people who will say that maybe I may not reach a very high number,” Omorodion said per Estadio Deportivo.
“But I am very confident in my abilities, although I know that it is tougher in the Laliga. But my target is 10-15 goals, I trust myself a lot.”
Omorodion got 15 minutes of action for Alaves in their 1-0 loss to Getafe on Monday. He could get more minutes when his side welcomes Getafe this weekend.
