Michelle Alozie featured in all Nigeria matches at the just concluded 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, where the country’s run ended in a heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat to England
Michelle Alozie has revealed her interest in trying her luck in the annual reality BB Naija show after appearing for Nigeria at the 2023 Women’s World Cup, Soccernet.ng reports.
The American-born defender made her World Cup debut with the Super Falcons at the just concluded 2023 edition of the tournament. And was one of the shining lights of the Nigerian team that lost 4-2 to England in a penalty shootout in the Round of 16.
She has gained international attention on social media for her dedication and professionalism to her club Houston Dash and the Super Falcons. Off the field, Alozie is also a technician dedicating part of her time to the treatment of children with cancer.
However, the 26-year-old has revealed her interest in showcasing her talent away from football or medicine, but in the Nigerian annual reality television show Big Brother Naija.
In a statement on her official X account, Alozie indicated that she wants to know more about the show and how to participate.
She said: what’s #BBNaija & how do I join
Alozie then put out another message that she was just curious about the reality television show.
She wrote: im jokinggggg. im wouldn’t actually join, im just curious
Big Brother Naija is an annual television series in which contestants are isolated in one house for some time to compete for a cash prize, with the winner of this year’s edition pocketing prizes totaling around 120 million Naira.
After her World Cup participation, Alozie will now shift her attention toward helping Nigeria secure a place at next year’s football event of the Olympics in Paris.
