WATCH: Napoli’s Osimhen converses in Yoruba as he bonds with popular Nigerian comedian

Renowned Nigerian comedian, Woli Arole, and football sensation Victor Osimhen has delighted fans with a lighthearted video that showcased their camaraderie, Soccernet.ng reports.

The footage captured the pair sporting identical outfits, fostering a brotherly bond between the two.

Osimhen, taking a well-deserved break from his football endeavours, has been enjoying his off-season vacation in Lagos.

During this time, he has been socializing with friends, family, and various popular social media influencers.

Shortly after spending quality time with Ogenyi Onazi, Nigeria’s victorious 2013 Africa Cup of Nations midfielder, Osimhen found himself at the center of attention once again, this time alongside Woli Arole.

In the video, Osimhen openly expressed his gratitude to Woli Arole, revealing that the comedian had specially tailored the garments, typically donned by prophets, to fit him.

Osimhen had provided his body measurements only a few hours prior to their meeting. The football star engaged in conversation primarily in English and Yoruba, a language prevalent in Southwest Nigeria.

As Osimhen’s father hailed from Edo State, located in the Midwestern region of Nigeria, it is likely that he gained fluency in Yoruba during his upbringing in Lagos.

The video showcased Woli Arole, dressed in matching attire, expressing his delight at meeting Osimhen. Additionally, the clip captured a moment of excitement as Arole showered Osimhen with prayers, while commending the Napoli star’s humility.

Osimhen has ascended to the status of one of Nigeria’s most prominent stars following his remarkable performances with Napoli in Italy and the Champions League.

The 24-year-old striker has endeared himself to Nigerian fans both at home and abroad, thanks to his impressive tally of 26 goals that propelled Napoli to their third-ever Scudetto title, their first in 33 years.

Furthermore, Osimhen’s contributions were instrumental in Napoli’s historic journey to the quarterfinals of the Champions League, a feat never before achieved by the club.

Importantly, Osimhen’s remarkable scoring ability extends to the international stage as well.

For the Nigerian national team, he has consistently found the back of the net.

In fact, the former Lille forward showcased his prowess by scoring an astounding seven goals in just five games, securing Nigeria’s qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with a game to spare.

With his vibrant personality and exceptional performances on the field, Victor Osimhen continues to make waves in the football world, leaving an indelible mark on both Napoli and Nigerian football.
