Watch: Jay-Jay Okocha returns home to witness DFB-Pokal final clash between Frankfurt and Leipzig

Austin Jay-Jay Okocha was known for his mesmerising skills throughout his stint at Eintracht Frankfurt,before joining Turkish club Fenerbahçe 

Super Eagles legend Austin Jay-Jay Okocha returned to Germany to witness the thrilling DFB-Pokal final between Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig, Soccernet.ng reports.

The thrilling clash between these two German football giants took place in Berlin’s legendary Olympiastadion, but resulted in a 2-nil loss for Okocha’s former team.

Okocha, who donned the jersey of the Bundesliga club, returned to the Olympiastadion, which brought back memories of his brilliant time with the team from 1992 to 1996.

Okocha demonstrated his exceptional ability and mesmerising skills throughout his stint at the club, leaving an unforgettable impact on the hearts of Frankfurt fans.

On the football pitch, Okocha was known for his outstanding dribbling talents, flair, and creativity.

As previously reported by Soccernet’s Managing Editor, Lolade Adewuyi, his remarkable abilities and transmissible personality gained him a devoted fan base not just in Nigeria but throughout the world.

In a video shared on the social media page before the game, Okocha was seen turning his phone camera around the stadium, capturing the cheering fans and himself from the VIP section.

Fans were treated to a highly fought battle full with drama, talent, and emotion as the final unfolded. In the end, Leipzig came out on top with a spectacular 2-nil victory against Frankfurt.

Despite the disappointing outcome for his former team, his return to Germany to cheer on Frankfurt to triumph demonstrates that the club still has a special place in his heart.
