After the commitments with the national team against Sierra Leone and a long successful season living in Naples, Victor Osimhen returned to his root.

The Napoli striker arrived at Oregun, Lagos, Nigeria, to embrace old friends, meet the community present, and put a smile on the students’ faces in the Community school he visited.

The forward, who has been excellent for the Gli Azzurri, and has heavily become a target for Chelsea and Manchester United, didn’t shy away from posting the images on his social media handle, showing appreciation and expressing love for his community.

The former LOSC Lille star, originally from Edo State, was born in Lagos and grew up around Ojota, where he started playing football as a kid.

Then, he eventually represented the country at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2015, in a performance that saw him claim the highest goal scorer award whilst lifting the trophy.

Another video, however, saw the 2022-23 Serie A top scorer visit some of his old friends and the old field he formerly played before embarking on his European Journey.

The Nigerian star has been linked with a move to some elite clubs in Europe, but while his agent has been busy with what would be best for his future, he would likely be spotted in more areas in Nigeria as he gives back to his country, as well as expressing his love for Nigeria.
