Chukwueze has been heavily linked with a move away from Castellon, and the President of Villarreal has revealed more about his situation
Villarreal President Fernando Roig has affirmed that Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze wants to leave the club. However, the club is yet to receive an official bid from any club.
Soccernet reports that Chukwueze’s future has been in the balance, as his contract at the club is set to expire at the end of next season, and he has refused to sign an extension.
There have been talks that the 24-year-old hitman wants to leave for the Premier League. Real Madrid have been in the conversation for his signature, but they do not seem ready to go all in for the left-footed winger.
Meanwhile, there have been links with some clubs abroad. AC Milan have been in the mix alongside Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Newcastle.
However, according to Soy Calcio, the President of Villarreal has confirmed that the club is yet to receive an offer for Chukwueze.
“It is true that Chukwueze is looking forward to playing for a big club in Europe or the Premier League,” Roig said.
“If an offer comes, we will sit down to Negotiate. But at the moment, we have not received any offer.”
Chukwueze is valued at €25million according to Transfermarkt. But Villarreal would demand way more than that because of his brilliance last season when he registered 24 goal contributions
