President Bola Tinubu reacts after Flying Eagles’ Ibrahim Muhammad’s goal dedication

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria shocked the football community by defeating the U-20 World Cup host nation, Argentina

President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has reacted to the victory of the Nigeria Under-20 national team against Argentina, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup host suffered a surprise 2-0 loss to Ladan Bosso’s lads at the La Plata Stadium on Wednesday evening, thanks to goals from Ibrahim Muhammad and Haliru Sarki.

Following the victory, the former Lagos state governor congratulated the team and expressed his desire for more success in the tournament.

Recall that Muhammad, who scored the opening goal in the 61st minute, dedicated his goal to the new President of Nigeria, Honourable Ahmed Bola Tinubu, saying, “I dedicate my goal to our new president, Honourable Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and I appreciate my teammates for their efforts to win.”

Responding to this dedication, President Tinubu took to his social media platform to commend the boys for their outstanding performance.

“I congratulate our marvelous Flying Eagles for their resounding 2-0 victory over the host team, Argentina, securing a spot in the quarter-finals of the U-20 World Cup. I’m rooting for you guys. Go and make us proud!”
