The Flying Eagles star had a strong performance against Italy, and his actions after the game further endeared him to the fans

Argentine fans who were present at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas where Nigeria defeated Italy 2-0 have celebrated Flying Eagles star Abel Ogwuche after he gifted one of them his jersey, Soccernet.ng reports.

Nigeria claimed their second win at the ongoing Under-20 World Cup in an impressive victory 2-0 over Italy.

Ogwuche had an outstanding performance in the game, registering nine clearances, four blocked shots, and one tackle, and was never dribbled past. He also won all four of his aerial duels and one of his three ground duels.

After the game, Ogwuche went into the stands to give one of the fans his jersey. The fan was an aged man, and this drew applause from some of the Argentine fans who were present at the Stadium in Mendoza.

The Flying Eagles play Brazil in their final group game on Saturday, and a victory against them could seal their spot at the summit of their group.

Ogwuche would look to play an active role in the game as always and help Ladan Bosso’s lads land a good result.
