U20 World Cup: Italy 0-2 Nigeria- Player Ratings

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria claimed a big 2-0 victory over Italy in their second game of the Under-20 World.

They started the tournament well with a 2-1 victory over the Dominican Republic. And they followed it up with a strong performance against an Italian side that beat Brazil 3-2 in their opening fixture.

Goals from Salem Fago and Sunday Jude sealed the victory for Ladan Bosso’s lads.

Soccernet.ng rates the performance of the Flying Eagles players.

Chijioke Aniagboso 8.1/10: The Flying Eagles goalie had a Super game. He made four super saves to help the team. He showed great control of his area and looked assured in aerial situations. To cap his efforts, he had an assist.

Abel Ogwuche 9/10: He had way more to do than he did in the game against the Dominican Republic. Ogwuche registered nine clearances, four blocked shots, and one tackle, and was never dribbled past. He also won all four of his aerial duels and one of his three ground duels.

Benjamin Fredrick 8.1/10: Fredrick had a superb game. He hardly put a foot wrong. He had nine clearances, three blocked shots, six tackles, and 38 accurate passes. He was only dribbled past once and won nine of his 13 duels.

Daniel Bameyi 7.6/10: The 17-year-old defender had four interceptions, he had three attempts on goal, but he looked shaky defensively at times. Still, he had a decent performance.

Solomon Agbalaka 7.4/10: Agbalaka was very adventurous as usual. He registered five clearances and three blocked shots and two key passes. He also registered two shots on goal.

Victor Eletu 7.3/10: The 18-year-old midfielder has 31 touches, two key passes, one interception, and two successful dribbles. He had a good game until he was taken off in the 67th minute.

Daniel Daga 7.1/10: Dad had a solid game. He had five interceptions, one tackle, three clearances, and two successful dribbles. His passing was dodgy at times, but it was a good performance overall.

Salem Fargo 8.1/10: Salem Fargo had a great game. He scored the opener for Nigeria and looked sharp in attack. He registered three shots on target and 28 touches.
