Not satisfied! Ladan Bosso reacts to Flying Eagles victory against Italy

At the Mendoza Stadium, the Nigerian Flying Eagles defeated the Young Azzurri by a score of two goals to none

Flying Eagles boss, Ladan Isah Bosso, has stated that despite his team’s triumph against Italy, he is not yet content, soccernet.ng understands.

The Nigeria Under-20 team calms the Italian storm with a comfortable 2-nil victory, which pushes them a step into the U-20 FIFA World Cup tournament.

The 55-year-old manager, reacting to the victory, revealed that there is still a lot of work in progress for his team, and he would be satisfied until the team advanced to the final of the competition.

The Italians appeared to be the favourites in their match against Nigeria after defeating the Brazilians by a score of 3 goals to 2 in their opening games. However, Nigeria defeated them thanks to goals from Lawal Salem Fago and Jude Sunday, who sealed the victory in the 61st and 95th minutes, respectively.

Bosso had previously said that the team needed to make up for the mistakes they made in their first match against the Dominican Republic, which they accomplished superbly by defeating Carmine Nunziata’s squad.

Speaking to the media after the game, the former coach of Adamawa United claimed that the team had followed his pregame instructions, which had helped them achieve a successful outcome.

“You have seen it, it’s a good thing that we have orientated our boys on how to get the Italians, and we stuck to our tactics. After the first half, we tried to reinforce the team so that if we could not score, we shouldn’t be able to concede [goals], and eventually, it went for us. So that is a good thing that the boys are working according to the tactics, and the praise goes to Almighty Allah that we have gotten the victories.” he said.

Nigeria will travel to face Brazil at the La Plata, Bosso reveals that the Brazilians can be defeated.

“For now, it is certain that we have qualified from our group with 6 points, and those players who have not played in the first two matches, I think we have to give them a chance to showcase themselves, we would play a normal game with Brazil, and I think they are beatable” he continued.

In its history, the Nigeria U-20 squad has twice finished second in the competition, and Bosso is not giving up until the team smashes the record after 18 years.

Speaking to the media, he said that until his lads make it to the final of the 23rd iteration of the international youth competition, he would not be content with the outcome.

“For now, it is still work in progress, we are still in the tournament, we can never be satisfied yet until we play the final”, he added.

The Flying Eagles team has lost three of their past five games vs Brazil’s U-20 team, falling 4–2 in 2015.
