Naija influence? Jesse Lingard clutches Nigerian flag with Awoniyi and Dennis in a lovely photo

Taiwo Awoniyi’s lone goal against Arsenal helped Nottingham Forest defeat Arsenal and deliver Manchester City the English Premier League title for 2022–23

Former Manchester United star, Jesse Lingard, was pictured holding the Nigerian flag with two Super Eagles players, Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis, after their game against Arsenal.

Nigerian star, Awoniyi, made Tricky Tree supporters happy by scoring the lone goal against the Gunners to safeguard their continued participation in the Premier League.

Lingard, one of the 30 players Nottingham signed, could only watch the significant match from the stands and support his colleagues, but at the conclusion of the match, the Englishman was seen beaming with delight at the outcome of the game.

After that, the 30-year-old showed his love for Nigeria even more by posing with Dennis and Awoniyi next to the Nigerian flag.

Here is the picture:

The former West Ham United loanee has previously been seen in a video learning typical Pidgin English alongside Awoniyi and Dennis.

His admiration for Nigeria, which produced a brilliant Awoniyi who has been essential in the Red’s fight to escape relegation, has grown as a result of his positive relationships with the two Nigerians.

Although Lingard, who transferred to the City Ground during the summer transfer window, signed a year-long deal with Forests, his future with his Nigerian pals at the West Bridgford is still up in the air.
