As Olayinka bid farewell to the team he had passionately served for five years, this special trophy served as a fitting tribute to his legacy.

The OLAYINCUP comprises 83 meticulously designed parts divided into five segments, each representing a season. The size of the individual “discs” varied based on the competition in which Olayinka scored, lending an expressive and voluminous quality to the trophy.

The grand ceremony for the trophy presentation was held just before the kick-off of Slavia’s match against Slovácko on Saturday.

Jaroslav Tvrdík, the chairman of the board of directors, had the honour of presenting the OLAYINCUP to Olayinka.

In a touching moment, Olayinka, now wearing the captain’s armband, led his team onto the pitch for the last time.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Olayinka expressed his appreciation for the extraordinary tribute, stating, “I value this cup very much; I didn’t expect anything like this at all. It was a shock. I love it.

“When I saw it for the first time, I was moved. Hats off to whoever made it. It’s incredibly heavy; I’ll see how it fits on the plane (laughs). But I love every part of it.”

With a broad smile, Olayinka relished the moment following Slavia’s resounding 4-0 victory over Slovácko.

Super Eagles star Olayinka has agreed to join Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade on a free transfer ahead of next season.
