Watch: Golden Eaglets land in Algeria ahead of their U-17 AFCON 2023 campaign

The FIFA U-17 World Cup has been won by the Golden Eaglets five times, and they have finished in second place three times, making them the most successful team in international football for their age category

Nigeria’s U-17 team has been sighted arriving at Algeria’s international airport ahead of their U-17 Africa Cup Of Nations 2023 campaign.

The Nigeria Football Federation’s social media page posted a video of the Golden Eaglets pulling their luggage on a cart as they arrived in the nation as they pursue their third AFCON title.

The tournament’s Group B is seeded to include South Africa, Zambia, Morocco, and Nduka Ugbade’s lads. However, he has decided on naming twenty-six players for the tournament following a rigorous period of training and friendly matches at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project’s Abuja headquarters.

The Eaglets participated in 12 friendlies, winning 11 of them, drawing one, and scoring an astounding total of 66 goals while also giving up 14 goals.

Then, on Sunday night, he marched his strongest legs to Constantine, Algeria, to start the tournament’s last-minute preparations.

On Sunday at the Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui, the U-17 team will face Zambia in their first game before moving on to face South Africa and Morocco in their remaining group-round fixtures.

The top four teams in Algeria will earn a spot in the African team’s roster for the FIFA U17 World Cup finals later this year.
