UCL: Napoli star Victor Osimhen remains uncertain for AC Milan clash

The Super Eagles attacker, who has scored 25 goals in 29 matches this season, has been essential for the team

Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen is still questionable to play for Napoli in their UEFA Champions League match against AC Milan.

According to recent reports, the Nigerian’s complete recovery is not guaranteed by the club, having practised independently from the squad and in the gym.

The Neapolitans will head to San Siro Stadium on Wednesday to get revenge for their loss to the Red and Blacks in the domestic league matchup.

Since his return from the international break, the Nigerian star has missed two of Napoli’s games—against AC Milan and US Lecce—due to a bothersome ache in his left abductor.

The Nigerian player participated in his nation’s vital dual Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Guinea-Bissau for a full minute.

The former LOSC Lille forward may as well not be playing against Stefano Pioli’s team, according to a report from the club, when Napoli plays their third game since the end of the international break.

“Osimhen did individual work on the pitch and in the gym.” says the club.

The goal-poacher has been instrumental in the Parthenopeans’ pursuit of the Scudetto this season and their qualification for the Champions League quarter-finals.

Despite openly claiming to be fit, the Super Eagles striker would not put the team under pressure to hasten his comeback.
