Super Eagles dribble-king returns to training after four months, gives Hertha Berlin Bundesliga boost

The Super Eagles forward has been injured since the first week of December, but he has come at a crucial point when Hertha Berlin need all their firepower to stay alive

Super Eagles dribble-wizard Chidera Ejuke has returned to training at Hertha Berlin after missing the last four months because of a knee ligament injury Soccernet.ng reports.

Ejuke joined Hertha Berlin from CSKA Moscow on a season-long loan deal last summer. However, after a decent start to life that saw him register three assists in 15 appearances for the Bundesliga strugglers, Ejuke suffered an injury in December 2022.

There were talks that the 25-year-old would return to action in January, but it was later confirmed that Ejuke would spend an extra two months on the sidelines.

The CSKA Moscow loanee has now returned to action. Hertha Berlin revealed this via their website.

The club shared a picture of the Super Eagles forward on their Twitter page while he was in training.

Ejuke will be in the matchday squad for Hertha Berlin when they play Werder Bremen on Saturday. The Old Lady are desperately fighting to stay afloat in the Bundesliga.

They are bottom of the league with 22 points, five points away from safety after 28 games. With six games left, Ejuke would look to do magic and help his side stay alive in the German top flight.
