Paris FC have announced that Nigerian international goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has extended her contract with the club until June 2025.
The Super Falcons star goalkeeper joined the French side in January 2020, with her original contract expiring in June 2023.
Nnadozie has been a key player for Paris FC, making 54 league appearances since joining.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper has shown impressive form, with several crucial saves that have helped Paris FC secure crucial victories in the French Division 1 Féminine.
Expressing her delight at the contract extension, Nnadozie said, “I am very happy to continue the adventure at Paris FC.
“The journey continues. I give God all the glory . @parisfc_feminines, thanks for the trust and encouragement.”
Before joining Paris FC, Nnadozie played for Rivers Angels in Nigeria, where she helped the team win the NWPL league in the 2019-2020 season. She has also represented Nigeria internationally, playing for the U-17 and U-20 teams before debuting for the senior team in 2018.
Nnadozie was the starting goalkeeper for Nigeria in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France and was instrumental in the team’s victory over Korea. She became the youngest goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet at the World Cup. Her impressive performances earned her several accolades, including the IFFHS Africa’s Best Woman Goalkeeper in 2019.
Paris FC is currently third in the French Division 1 Féminine, with 35 points from 18 matches. The club will hope that Nnadozie’s contract extension will help them continue their push for a top-four finish in the league this season.
