Manchester United monitor Osimhen’s performance despite their interest in Harry Kane

Victor Osimhen has notched a goal total of 26 in all 31 appearances for Napoli this season

Manchester United, have reportedly sent scouts to Italy to cast an eye on Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen, despite their interest in Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, Soccernet.ng understands.

Osimhen is reportedly receiving more interest from teams like Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United. It is also said that talks for a new contract at Napoli have been suspended as a result of Manchester United’s apparent advantage in the battle to recruit the Super Eagles player.

Even though it has reportedly been difficult for the Old Trafford team to decide whether to launch an offer for Osimhen or Kane, the Daily Express suggests that the Nigerian is now the main focus of interest for the 2012–13 Premier League winners.

As he reaches the final twelve months of his contract with Tottenham, Kane must make a major choice about his future.

The English captain is thought to be open to extending his contract at Tottenham, and there are questions over whether Tottenham would be willing to sell to a direct opponent in the Premier League

However, despite interest from Chelsea and Bayern Munich, Man United is making a strong effort to capture the Nigerian attacker who has been brilliant for Napoli.

Kane would be an individual brought in to produce an outstanding performance immediately before old age begins to set in, and it has been observed, that Osimhen marks a signing for the long-term future.

Following this, the Manchester club dispatched a team to Naples to observe the Nigerian and maybe speak with him, but they have not yet moved further with their transfer intentions.

PSG are reportedly preparing to meet Napoli’s asking price, which the United club with their previous record deals to sign Antony from Ajax and Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, can do the same.

However, the success of their transfer plans depends on how many of their key players leave the team and if they finish the season in the top four.
