Despite being dropped from Brendan Rodgers’ starting lineup, Kelechi Iheanacho continues to prove to be more crucial for the team
The availability of Super Eagles attacker Kelechi Iheanacho for Leicester City’s home game against Everton on Monday is in doubt, Soccernet.ng understands.
The Nigerian, who worked diligently to set up James Maddison, and produced a beautiful pass for Jamie Vardy to knock it past Illan Meslier, was seen limping and scowling during the Foxes’ match against Leeds United.
Dean Smith acknowledged during the match that Iheanacho’s injury from Tuesday night’s 1-1 tie with Leeds didn’t seem to be overly serious. A scan was scheduled for Wednesday (Yesterday) to determine the full extent of the problem.
The Super Eagles striker was once again seen putting his body on the line for a goal as Leicester were desperately seeking to equalise despite losing a crucial relegation match to Leeds at the time. The striker was determined to lead Leicester to another victory after the Wolves encounter.

Smith, who would miss his presence against Everton, revealed in his post-match press conference: “He’s pulled up with his groin. Well, I say, pulled up, he kept going and played it through to Madders. It didn’t look great, and we’ll have it scanned tomorrow (Wednesday).”
Monday’s match between Everton and Leicester at the King Power Stadium will be a chance for Leicester to pick up another victory and extend their lead over Sean Dyche’s squad.
