First official EASPORTS FIFA23 championship to take place in Lagos

Lagos will host the first official EASPORTS FIFA23 championship next month, Soccernet.ng can exclusively reveal.

32 players from across the country will participate in the high-level competition that will take place on May 13 to determine the Champion of Africa.

This will be the first time ever in Africa that EASPORTS will have an official licensed event on the continent.

The offline invitational gaming event will feature gamers from Nigeria and other neighbouring West African countries competing in the EASPORTS FIFA23 tournament that will see the winner crowned as an EASPORTS FIFA23 Champion alongside being awarded with a grand prize.

“We have seen the massive growth of gaming in Africa and the FIFA23 title in particular and have thus made this strategic decision to bring such an incredible gaming experience to Nigeria,” said Abimbola Ilo, Managing Director of Integral, the organisers of the championship.

“Naturally, we are thrilled to be the first ever official licensee of EASPORTS in Africa and are poised to host a phenomenal event that creates an exciting experience for gamers and football fans.”

There will be a knock-out tournament before the main event of 32 players. Soccernet.ng will bring more details as we learn of it.
