Sunday Oliseh managed Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the 2015-16 era, compiling an excellent record of just two losses in 14 games
Ex-Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh crowns Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, as the greatest coach of this era.
In November, the Spaniard accepted a “tempting offer” to take Steven Gerrard’s position at Villa Park. The move came in response to the club’s dismal run of form, which saw them win just two league games this season and sit barely above the relegation zone.
The former Ajax star, however, could not contain his admiration for the manager after having led the Villans to the fifth spot in the Premier League rankings.
The Lions, who now sit in fourth place in the standings with 54 points, are 5 points behind Manchester United, and with a win for Villa and a modest loss for the Red Devils, the Lions might advance to the UEFA Champions League.
This was followed by Oliseh retweeting a tweet from Aston Villa’s official account, which praised their manager and included the description “The only team in @PremierLeague history to score in their first 20 games under a new head coach.”
In a tweet he cited, he concurred and stated, “Extremely talented coach and, in my opinion, one of the best coaches of this era!!”
Emery’s men, who earlier defeated Erik Ten Hag’s men with a score of three goals to one, will travel to Old Trafford for a reverse fixture.
