Nottingham Forest supporters have the opportunity to vote for their Goal of the Month for March, with Emmanuel Dennis’ audacious chip against Newcastle United among the nominees, reports Soccernet.ng.
Dennis, who was handed his third start of the season in the encounter by manager Steve Cooper, scored Forest’s only goal of the game in the 26th minute in a narrow 1-2 home loss.
The versatile forward intercepted a back pass from the Magpies’ defence and chipped the ball past goalkeeper Nick Pope and two other defenders into the top corner of the net.
Dennis’ nomination for Forest’s Goal of the Month for March is a testament to the quality of his strike and the impact he can make for the club as the 2022/23 season enters the home stretch.
Dennis’ goal is up against tough competition, with Brennan Johnson’s second goal against Everton also among the nominees.
Forest Women’s 10-1 win over Boldmere has also provided two contenders for the award, while Alex Mighten’s superb team goal in the U21s’ win over Southampton is also up for vote.
Forest fans can vote on the club’s official website, with polls open until midnight on April 7th. The winner of the Goal of the Month award will be announced shortly after voting closes.
Forest fans will hope that Dennis can continue his impressive form in the coming matches as the team looks to climb up the Premier League and avoid instant demotion to the Championship.
