“Don’t worry” – Napoli star Osimhen calms fears amid injury scare

This season, the Super Eagles forward has scored 25 goals in 29 appearances for Luciano Spalletti’s team in all competitions

Super Eagles and Napoli star, Victor Osimhen, has guaranteed his football supporters that he would return from injury quickly.

The Super Eagles player reportedly suffers left adductor pain, according to a report from the club, denting the expectations to pick up where he left off before the international break as they tie against AC Milan.

During a training session on Friday, the Nigerian international reportedly chatted with a supporter, who claimed the forward comforted him about his injuries.

Soccernet.ng previously reported that the Nigerian superstar will be absent for a few weeks after Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis set a timeline for his return.

The Gli Azzurri claim that the Nigerian star, who was expected to play a significant role in their vital encounter against Milan, was injured during the Super Eagles’ doubleheader against Guinea-Bissau in their Africa Cup of Nations qualification match.

The Super Eagles’ talisman will likely miss their April 12 and 18 doubleheader against AC Milan in the Champions League, according to speculations.

However, Osimhen reportedly assured a Napoli supporter named David Ruggiero, after a training session at Castel Volturno on Friday, that the injury is nothing to be troubled about.

“Don’t worry it’s just a small thing”, Osimhen reportedly told a fan, when asked how long he would be out for.

If not for the injury, Osimhen’s participation in the match at San Siro stadium would be essential for Luciano Spalletti’s team, who lead the Serie A top-flight with 71 points, 23 points ahead of AC Milan.

It is anticipated that the Nigerian striker would bounce back stronger than ever after recovering from an injury in the past.
