Nigeria want to host the rest of Africa in 2025 and the process is already in full swing

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has sent a team to inspect Nigerian stadiums after the NFF put forth a joint bid with Benin Republic to host the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025.

Soccernet.ng reports that the NFF/Sports Ministry are looking to bring the Nations Cup to the country for the first time since 2000. The last time that Nigeria hosted the tournament, it was a joint bid with Ghana. However, this time, it is with the neighboring Benin Republic.

To verify Nigeria’s ability to host the AFCON, CAF sent a team of inspectors to check out the stadiums that the NFF submitted as venues for the games. This was relayed via the NFF’s official Twitter handle.
