AC Milan vs. Napoli: Key date has been set for Osimhen’s Champions League fate

The Super Eagles star sustained an injury during the international break in Nigeria’s two-leg matches against Guinea-Bissau

Super Eagles attacker, Victor Osimhen, was reportedly diagnosed and treated for the injury he sustained while on an international break.

A report from the club claims that the Super Eagles star has left adductor pain, which lessens hopes that he would resume where he left off before the break.

While the Nigerian star has assured his fans that they need not panic, sources suggest that Friday is the day when it will be known exactly how long he will be out.

The Nigerian international will find out if he can exact revenge for his club after losing to AC Milan in the league when Napoli travels to San Siro in the Champions League the following week, even though he is expected to miss Napoli’s match against Lecce.

The Super Eagles forward has established himself as a key component of Luciano Spalletti’s squad. His several goals have been instrumental in their title-winning campaign this year.

The Nigerian has scored 21 goals in 23 domestic league games, and his goal-scoring record would have helped the Parthenopeans versus Milan in their critical matches, but his injury has dealt them a serious blow.

The 24-year-old Napoli player is now dealing with his second injury setback of the 2022–23 season.
