“We are observing them all” – Peseiro names players he is monitoring ahead of AFCON qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau

The Super Eagles are slated to face West Africa’s Atlantic coast side on March 24

Together with Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Nigerian Super Eagles, has identified three players in his journey to Italy that he would be keeping an eye on.

According to a previous report from Soccernet, the 62-year-old manager travelled to Naples to observe his two players as they competed in the Napoli versus Atalanta match.

The former Venezuelan manager has said that, in addition to keeping watch on the two Super Eagles attackers, he is also paying close attention on other players in the Italian Serie A ahead of the first match of the doubleheader against Guinea-Bissau.

The Super Eagles have not called up Udinese attacker Isaac Success since he played in their 0-0 international exhibition match against Uganda in 2018.

After that, the former manager of Sporting CB revealed that he is keeping an eye on the Nigerian, who feels deserving of a call-up despite his goal drought this season.

“We are observing him,” he told Sportitalia.

Ahead of the AFCON matchup against West Africa’s Atlantic coast team, the Coruche native claimed that in addition to the attacker, he is also keeping an eye on Cyriel Dessers, Ola Aina, and Empoli F.C. defender Tyronne Efe Ebuehi.

“To him and to many others in Serie A: Dessers, Ola Aina, Ebuehi, for example. We are observing them all, and then when we have to make a list, we will have to make choices, and it will not be easy. Because luckily, we have a lot of choices. But Success is there among the players we have an eye on.” he added.

With 14 chances for the visitors to score during Udinese’s trip to Empoli FC’s Carlo Castellani Stadium match, Isaac was essential to his team’s bid to get three points there.
