The Norwegian superstar presently has 28 goals and 10 goals, respectively, to top the English Premier League and the Champions League scoring charts
Nottingham Forest star, Taiwo Awoniyi, discusses Erling Haaland’s English Premier League goal-scoring performance for Manchester City.
The Norwegian attacker joined the Cityzens from Borussia Dortmund during the 2022 summer transfer window for an estimated $60.00 million, and he has been lighting up the English League ever since.
The Nigerian striker was also one of the young players that last summer switched from the German Bundesliga to England, showing just how well he knew Haaland in the German League.
The former RB Salzburg star now holds the top-scoring position in the Premier League with 28 goals. He also has 10 goals, which puts him ahead of Kylian Mbappé and Mohamed Salah in the UEFA Champions League.
Awoniyi stated during the on-and-off-the-pitch podcast that he is not shocked by his performance for Pep Guardiola’s side as he makes scoring goals in the league seem to be so effortless.
“That was what I said because obviously in uh in Germany, with the way he played as well. You know how great he is as a player and came in here. also, he makes it look very much easy” he said.
Due to an injury setback, the Nigerian striker has not been able to perform to his best ability for Steve Cooper’s team, but he will be keen to pick up where he left off once his injury is completely healed.
