Two Super Eagles stars set to miss Napoli Vs Cremonese showdown

Cremonese would be looking to prove that their Copa Italia win against Napoli not a fluke, but they may have to do it without their entire firepower

Super Eagles striker  David Okereke and Cyriel Dessers may be unavailable for selection when Cremonese travel to Napoli this weekend.

The Grigiorossi travel to the Diego Amando Maradona Stadium on Sunday as they continue their push to stay alive in the Serie A.

Cremonese may have some confidence going into the tie at Naples. They knocked Napoli out of the Copa Italia via penalty shootouts this season, and they would be looking to do same again.

However, Cremonese coach Davide Ballardini may not have his entire arsenal available for the game.

Napoli Magazine reports that Nigerian strikers Dessers and Okerere may miss the tie because of niggling injuries.

The two Super Eagles strikers have contributed immensely in their first two clashes against Napoli.

When both clubs squared off in the Serie A earlier this season, Dessers scored for Cremonese. And the second time in the Copa Italia, Okereke assisted Charles Pickel’s goal for Cremonese.

Ballardini would hope that his players return to action and help spur their side to victory. The two Super Eagles striker will have to undergo a late fitness test so that they can be passed fit for the fixture.
