The Super Eagles striker has been giving the East Midlands-based team an excellent performance, scoring in the clubs’ three prior games.
The Nigerian international, Kelechi Iheanacho has been outstanding for Brendan Rodgers’ men in their last three matches.
The Super Eagles forward has found the back of the net in the last two Premier League games against Aston Villa and Tottenham as well as scoring against Walsall in the FA Cup tie.
The Nigerian played a big role in Leicester’s 4–2 hammering of Unai Emery’s team at Villa Park. The 26-year-old scored one goal and provided two assists.
The previous week, his outstanding performance was a prerequisite for inclusion in Alan Shearer’s squad of the week, which included Bryan Mbeumo on the left, Harry Kane of Tottenham as the centre striker, and Iheanacho on the right side in a 4-3-3 formation.
Again, the Nigerian was nominated to the Premier League squad of the week after his performance against Tottenham last Saturday, when he scored a goal and provided an assist. He was positioned as the centre striker, with Marcus Rashford on the right and Ivan Toney on the left.
