“I love such challenge”– Super Eagles star delighted with how Lookman encouraged Osimhen to score more

This season, the two Nigerians are enjoying success in the Serie A top division.

Super Eagles star, John Ogu, is pleased with how Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen, two players who play in the Italian Serie A, are putting on a strong performance.

According to him, he loved how the Atalanta forward challenged the Napoli forward to score more goals in the Italian top flight.

As previously reported by Soccernet.ng, the former RB Leipzig striker predicted that he would outscore the Parthenopean forward in terms of goals scored.

Each had two-digit goals for their respective clubs at that very time. But, the Super Eagles’ talisman, Osimhen, is currently six goals ahead of Ademola Lookman, who has 12 goals for the Blue-Blacks, in the Serie A scoring standings with 18 goals.

In addition, the Nigerian broke Gonzalo Higuain’s Napoli record and was named the best player in Serie A for the month of January after an impressive showing in the first month of the year which included scoring a brace against Juventus.

Following this, the Maccabi Kabilio Jaffa F.C midfielder wrote on Twitter about how happy he was that Osimhen kept scoring after the challenge.

“Loved how Lookman gingered Victor when he was asked about scoring more than him . Since that day, Victor can’t stop scoring . I love such challenge and God bless both of them with Goals in their football club . I’m so Happy for both of them on what they doing in Serie A” he wrote.

For Luciano Spalletti’s team, Osimhen now has 20 goals and 4 assists in 24 appearances across all competitions, while Lookman has 14 goals and 5 assists overall for Atalanta this season.
