The Super Falcons are set to begin their campaign at the Revelation Cup on Wednesday, but they would be without one of their best legs
Barcelona striker Asisat Oshoala is set to miss the Super Falcons‘ opening game of the Revelation Cup against Mexico.
Nigeria will be looking to get some team chemistry, cohesion, and of course, wins when they file out in Mexico for the inaugural edition of the Revelation Cup.
Coach Randy Waldrum invited 23 players for the games against Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica. However, only 22 players have arrived in camp for the competition.
Red-hot Barcelona striker Oshoala who has scored 15 goals in her last ten games, is not yet in camp, according to the last update by the Super Falcons media team.
She will thus be unable to participate in the Super Falcons’ first game against the hosts, Mexico, slated to hold on Wednesday, 4 pm (Nigerian time).
The nine-time African champions will tackle Colombia on Saturday before playing their last game against Costa Rica on Tuesday.
Coach Waldrum can only hope that his top striker gets to camp promptly so she may participate in the last two games.
The Revelation inside an invitational tournament. For the Falcons, it is part of preparations for the World Cup that begins in July in Australia and New Zealand.
