“A warrior never gives up” – Super Eagles-eligible player remarks after scoring brace for Gent

Super Eagles-eligible forward, Gift Orban handed his team a 3-3 draw in their visit to Het Kuipje.

Nigerian international, Gift Orban, after scoring twice for KAA Gent in their Belgian Pro League match against KVC Westerlo, showed his grit to the press.

The Buffalos traveled to Het Kuipje in an effort to revive their winning ways, but they were only able to earn a point from the 3-3 tie.

Gift, who just switched from Stabaek Fotball to KAA Gent for €3.50 million, has quickly made a good impression of himself by scoring a brace for The Buffalos.

After Belgian defender Maxim De Cuyper had equalized Hugo Cuypers penalty goal after 30 minutes of play, the former Bison FC player handed his team the lead.

The 20-year-old striker also pulled one back after Lukas Van Eenoo and Nader Chadili made it 3-2 for the home side.

Reflecting on his two goals in the game, which finished in a thrilling six-goal tie, the Nigerian remarked via the Club’s website.

“Of course I am happy with my goals. Nice assists too,”

He added: “Should we have won, it was going to be different. That’s why I’m not very happy. it’s football”

Additionally, the Nigerian admits that he became exhausted at various moments during the game, but insists that he never gives up on the pitch.

“I am a winner,

” Gift revealed his character. “You can play a bad match once, but giving up? Never.” says Orban.

Thanking his teammates and coach for the confidence, he said, “I am happy to be here at such a great club.”

After losing two, drawing two, and winning one of their last five games, Gent is currently holding onto the fifth spot in the Belgian pro league.

The Nigerian will be seeking to get his team back on track as they play Oud-Heverlee Leuven in the Belgian professional league after his team’s visit to the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium.
