“We haven’t had it so good in recent years.” Atlanta ‘96 gold medalist salutes Osimhen, Lookman, and Moffi

The Three attackers’ performance in Europe has been a subject of debate among sports enthusiasts.

Former Nigerian international Abiodun Obafemi, has showered encomium on Nigerian attackers Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Terem Moffi.

According to the former Fortuna Köln player, the Super Eagles strikers are doing exceptionally well in Europe and have yet to reach their full potential.

It is no longer news that the attackers have hit the headlines with their recent European performance over the last few months, scoring crucial goals for their team.

After suffering a Biceps Femoris injury during his team’s 4-1 win against Liverpool, Victor Osimhen has made an amazing return.

Although in their first two domestic league matches before picking up the injury, he scored a few goals. However, his comeback from the injury opened him more scoring opportunities, bringing his Serie A goal total to 12.

Lookman also bagged a brace for his team against Salernitana, which took him to second on the Serie A scoresheet with 3 goals behind Osimhen.

Numerous teams, notably West Ham United, are now actively pursuing Moffi as a result of his exceptional performance in Ligue 1.

However, the Atlanta ‘96 gold medalist has lauded the players in his discussion with Brila FM, saying, “We haven’t had it so good in recent years. Nobody will contest this,”
“ (Victor) Osimhen is the hottest striker in Europe and, by extension, in the world. He’s doing well now, and I believe he hasn’t reached his full potential.

“Lookman has also surpassed expectations. So many of them are doing good at the moment, Terem Moffi as well. Long may it continue.”

Jose Peseiro’s men will have their first test of the year in March when they take on Guinea-Bissau, both home and away, in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, and will definitely hand the Portuguese some selection problems.

  • We get players na coach be problem
Imagine what Morocco did at the world cup. it's because they have a good coach..That Jose can not assemble this players and provide a good result..Arteta is a good coach because he can assemble players and bring out the best in them

  • Coincindentally, GuineaBissau is portuguese-speaking, so GB are likely to understand JosePeseiro's style of football. Nigeria needs a coach that brings out the best frm players, like the àrsenal's arteta
