Victor Osimhen: Super Eagles’ attacker bags prestigious award

The Super Eagles forward,Victor Osimhen, has been brilliant for Napoli thus far and has piqued the eye of European teams.

Super Eagles attacker Victor Osimhen has received the Global Soccer Award For The Power Horse Emerging Player Of The Year.

The king of Naples beat Barcelona’s Gavi and Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde to win the for the young talent of the year at a ceremony held in November 2022 at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.

With his efforts for the Gli Azzurri so far, the 24-year-old has obviously made the cut for the award, scoring a good amount of goals for the Serie A giants.

The Super Eagles superstar, who was recently nominated among the contenders for the 2023 FIFA team of the year, added another goal to his tally on Sunday against Sampdoria, bringing his total to 10 goals in 13 appearances.

Osimhen, who got the award today, turned to Twitter to express his appreciation and thank everyone who have supported him so far.

“Just Receive The @Globe_Soccer Award For The Power Horse Emerging Player Of The Year,” he wrote.

“Thank You For The Recognition, And To Those That Have Been Supporting Me Through The Years, I Appreciate Y’all.GOD Is The Greatest💯🙏🏽 @sscnapoli @Globe_Soccer” he added.

The failure of Nigeria to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which may have given the Nigerian attacker the opportunity to showcase more of his abilities on the international stage, is something he would like to forget for the time being.

However, his recent nominations and awards are evidence that he has consistently performed well.
