Super Eagles stars occupy Serie A team of the week

The two Super Eagles stars look to be dominating the Italian league, with their spectacular performances for their respective teams.

Super Eagles players Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman have been named to the Serie A team of the week.

The Nigerians were named to the team of the week as a result of their performances for their respective clubs over the weekend.

The prince of Naples, Osimhen, struck the headlines with his brace for Luciano Spalletti’s men as they crushed the Old Lady in their visit to Diego Maradona’s Stadium.

On the other hand, Mola also bagged a brace as his team demolished Salernitana at the Gewiss Stadium on Sunday.

Both players further proved worthy of their nomination in the team as they both top the scoring chart of the Italian league.

Osimhen has 12 goals to his account why the former Leicester player has been able to pocket 9 goals.

The Team of the Week, which is in a 4-4-2 formation, has three of Ademola’s and three of Osimhen’s teammates.

After losing to the Cremonese, Osimhen’s side will strive to improve their advantage at the top of the standings when they travel to Salernitana, while Lookman’s Atalanta will host Spezia in Bergamo for their round-of-16 matchup.
