Extent of Ejuke’s injury revealed

Ejuke has been out injured since early December, and he faces a long time on the sidelines

Super Eagles attacker Chidera Ejuke is set to miss the next two months because of a knee ligament injury.

Ejuke arrived at Hertha Berlin in July 2022, and he quickly slotted in making 15 appearances and nicking three assists.

However, the 25-year-old forward has been out of action since the seventh of December after Hertha Berlin’s game against Eintracht Braunschweig.

There were earlier reports that the CSKA Moscow loanee could return this month, but Bild as per Fussball reports that Ejuke will be out with a knee ligament injury for at least eight weeks.

The injury ensures that the Super Eagles star will miss Hertha Berlin’s next eight games.

Hertha Berlin currently sit 17th in the Bundesliga. They have only garnered 14 points from 17 games. However, they sit just three points away from safety.

Coach Sandro Schwarz will hope that the Nigerian dribble-wizard returns in time as they push for survival in the Bundesliga.

  • It's so pitiful for Ejukes. I think if he didn't get injured, his football team can advance further.
