Alex Iwobi gets seventh manager since leaving Arsenal

Alex Iwobi moved to Goodison Park Stadium in 2019 from Arsenal for a fee in the region of £28 million fee.

Everton has employed the services of former Burnley manager, Sean Dyche, to manage the club following the sacking of Frank Lampard.

Reports claim that the Englishman signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the team to serve as manager, putting an end to Lampard’s replacement search.

The Nigerian international will now work under his seventh manager since exiting Arsenal in August 2019.

Recall that the Super Eagles winger was Marco Silver’s top priority in 2019, and he was able to lure him to Goodison Park Stadium for an initial £28 million fee.

Following the exit of Silver, he later played for coaches such as Frank Lampard, Duncan Ferguson, Rafael Benitez, Carlo Ancelotti, and Duncan Ferguson.

The Super Eagles forward have had a fantastic start since Frank Lampard took over from Rafael Benitez in January 2023.

Compared to his previous record, the Nigerian has contributed 5 assists and scored 1 goal in 20 domestic league appearances for the Blues.

Iwobi will now need to brace up to secure the admiration of his new manager as the club announced the appointment of the new manager.

Iwobi’s seventh manager, Sean Dyche, will try to pull the team out of the relegation zone by any means necessary, as the club announced via their social media platforms: “We can confirm the appointment of Sean Dyche as our new Men’s Senior Team Manager #EFC”.

The Merseysiders will host the league leaders, Arsenal, as Sean Dyche’s debut EPL match for the club.
