The Nigerian attacker has hardly featured for Watford this season, and he may still be on the sidelines for a while
Watford have revealed that Super Eagles forward Samuel Kalu will be unavailable for their game against Hull City on Sunday.
Kalu moved to Watford in January after struggling towards the end of his stay at French side Bordeaux.
However, the Nigeria international has struggled to make a mark in the team. Kalu has made just ten appearances for Watford since he joined at the beginning of the year.
This season, the 25-year-old right winger has made six appearances for the Hornets. However, he may be out of action for the next few weeks, as Watford have confirmed that Kalu is still recovering from an ankle injury he was nursing before the international break and his return is still speculative.
Kalu’s has been on a decline in the last 18 months. The Nigerian attacker has struggled to get enough game time at his clubs.
On the International scene, it has been a similar story for Kalu. He has 17 caps, but he has not played for Nigeria since October 2021.
