Super Eagles hopeful has received praises from his manager, Karel Garaerts and his fellow teammate following his recent performance for Union SG.
Royale Union Saint-Gilloise manager, Karel Geraerts has showered praises on Nigeria International Victor Boniface after their clash against KV Oostend.
The 22-year-old’s brilliance against Dominik Thalhammer’s team earned him the title of Man Of The Match.
For this, the Union supporters appreciated the Nigerian striker to the fullest with his assists in the match, even if he could not score in a 3-nil win against KVO.
Teddy Tuema scored the game’s first goal from the penalty spot five minutes after the restart inside the Stade Joseph Marien, and Boniface then set up Simon Adingra for his team’s second goal in the 63rd minute.
Meanwhile, in the fourth minute of the stoppage, Dante Vanzeir finished the routing.
The Nigerian forward has provided three assists and three goals to the league so far this year.
After the game, Geraerts could not contain himself as he lavished adulation on the scorer.
“He performed well, particularly in the first half.
“He was really skilled with the ball, and he seemed to exude a lot of confidence to the other members of the squad, in my opinion.
“It would have been good if he could have given himself a goal.” The coach comments, according to voetbalkrant.
The Manager continues, “This is the player I want to see play every week.”
He mentioned the area that has made the most advancements, stating, “That may still be his working point: being a little inconsistent. He may benefit from playing like this every weekend if he can.
According to his teammate, who also acknowledges his contribution to the team, he said “Victor is undoubtedly a solid replacement for Undav, despite being a different kind,”
He added, “He has his strengths, and in recent weeks, he has become more evident of those strengths. It would be wonderful if he could increase his goals and assists after scoring a goal and providing an assist in the most recent game versus Ostend. This season, we are going to have a lot of fun with it.”
