The Nigeria international has been one of the star performers in the Italian top flight this season
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has, for the second consecutive month, missed out on winning the Serie A player of the month award.
Juventus forward Moise Keane has been announced the winner of the award for November, beating Osimhen to second place.
It was a similar story for Osimhen in October when the Napoli forward lost out to AC Milan ace Rafael Leao for the league’s best player honour.
Osimhen’s chances, however, appeared brighter in November after scoring two goals and adding an assist in three matches for Napoli.
More importantly, the 23-year-old’s contributions – a goal and assist in the 2-1 win at Atalanta and another strike in the 3-2 triumph over Udinese – had helped Napoli romp to victory in the three league matches played in November.
Despite Osimhen’s brilliance, though, Moise Keane has been preferred to the Nigerian forward. Keane registered three goals in two appearances in the month.
Osimhen, however, remains the most prolific striker in the Italian Serie A. The former Lille lad has scored nine goals in 11 league appearances for the Partenopei before the World Cup break.
